The planning for out BLT included options for many different possible. We thought we had covered almost all of the contingencies. One thing we did not account for was a mechanical failure of one of the bikes. Once the issue was discovered, we ran several scenarios to salvage the trip for all 4 of the crew. Short of buying a replacement motorcycle, there really wasn’t a good solution. Today was spent getting the bike towed to a dealership 40 miles away and making arrangements for getting our buddy Mike and his bike back to Indiana. Early tomorrow morning we’ll help load his bike and say goodbye. We’ll try to keep him involved via Facebook and this blog. We will certainly miss his presence.
