Anticipation

We’ve been anticipating vacation for a long time (well – since the last one ended anyway). It’s almost here. We will be leaving soon to travel with our friends out west once again. The target is to get to Fort Clatsop and home in two weeks. Seems reasonable. If the weather is too hot or too cold or too rainy, the target moves. When you’re traveling on 2 wheels you have to be flexible. My plan is to take a lot of pictures and post them here so my friends can travel with us electronically. This is my first attempt at a blog so bear with me as I’m sure there will be growing pains along the trail.

The bike is waiting on its final cleaning. You can’t leave home with a dirty motorcycle. All the service is done and the GPS is full of the routes we want to take. The departure is still a few days away but I’m already playing out the first day’s ride in my head.
